About this deal

Released in 1987 and international in focus, there are early works from Mode 2, FUTURA, LEE, 3D, ESPO, REAS and more. Originally the project began as a way to document the famously flamboyant Greenwich Village Halloween Parade. The pictures of the subway cars are actually multiple photos overlapped to show the entire length of the subway car at a direct ninety degree angle. Volume 3, TC5 featuring Blade, published July 1, 2013; "TC5" stands for "The Crazy Five" or "The Cool Five.

With beautifully illustrated graffiti art designs, this street art book has some of the best graffiti artists in New York and Los Angeles. There are some examples in this book of tagging (just putting up a signature) that I have a less positive view toward, since what artistry is present is very limited. The e-books are published by Sleeping Dog Films, which primarily archives the photographer's over 800 photos of New York City Subway graffiti. Henry Chalfant (born January 2, 1940) is an American photographer and videographer most notable for his work on graffiti, breakdance, and hip hop culture. The archive series was renamed Henry Chalfant's Graffiti Archive: New York City's Subway Art and Artists in 2013. Los Angeles had its own unique street culture, whether low-riders, graffiti or fashion, much of the truly originality coming from East Los Angeles.

Her photographs have appeared in National Geographic, Smithsonian and Natural History magazines as well as several dozen books and journals. This is when Martha met Dondi, the first one who allowed her to accompany him; while Dondi was tagging she would take photos of his art.
